The standard FWD format has two motors on the front axle, and it yields 226 net combined horsepower, but the available AWD adds a third motor to the rear of the compact SUV, raising its output to 236 net combined horsepower. In both cases, a standard Electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission with a sequential shift mode regulates the power and smoothly sends it to the wheels.
